The programme, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, has emerged as a catalyst for economic growth and resilience in the region. Over the past several months, it has provided crucial support to 53 local businesses, fortifying their strategies and paving the way for sustainable success.
Key highlights of the programme include a dynamic two-day workshop tailored for entrepreneurs, focusing on the intricacies of financial planning. Attendees were equipped with essential skills and knowledge to navigate the complexities of financial management, ensuring a solid financial foundation for their ventures.
In addition, the initiative featured an enlightening Access to Finance Roadshow, a comprehensive event with guest speakers from Angels of Essex and FRP Advisory, who broke down the diverse array of financial options available to small and medium-sized enterprises. The roadshow demystified the financial landscape, empowering entrepreneurs and business leaders with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about their businesses.
Whilst already making an impact in such a short space of time, the support from Backing Essex Business doesn’t stop there, Business owners in the Southend District can still benefit from up to 12 hours of free professional advice on all things business, including in the areas of business planning, strategy development, financial management, and resilience. This invaluable support can be a game-changer for many businesses, fostering growth and sustainability in a rapidly evolving economic landscape.
